Role Overview

The System Administrator role is a full-time remote position entrusted with sustaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure dependable and secure operations. Daily responsibilities involve managing servers and workstations, overseeing user accounts and permissions, monitoring system functionality and uptime, troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, delivering prompt technical assistance to staff, and liaising with external service providers as needed. Additional duties include conducting routine system maintenance, deploying security updates and patches, handling backup and restoration processes, and aiding in IT documentation and workflow enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in system administration, covering operating systems management, user account administration, and configuration handling.
• Skillful in diagnosing hardware, software, and network connectivity problems and delivering effective technical support.
• Knowledgeable in network management principles including routing, switching, firewall configuration, and VPN technologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of IT fundamentals, cybersecurity standards, and experience with cloud services or virtualized systems.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or Linux credentials are advantageous.
• Competency with remote support utilities and team collaboration tools.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication abilities, with a capacity to work autonomously in a remote work environment.
• Educational background including an associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
