Role Overview

This Support Worker position is based at a Care Home focused on Mental Health. The role involves working collaboratively within a team to provide practical assistance to residents while fostering their independence according to both their preferences and the management's standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer support and encouragement with household tasks, personal care, and group activities.
• Help residents reinforce skills they have previously acquired.
• Assume the role of Key Worker for assigned residents by planning and managing their individual care.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with professionals and significant contacts involved in residents' lives.
• Assist in developing, preparing, monitoring, maintaining, and reviewing care and personal plans, updating records on the care application.
• Participate in interviews and meetings as needed.
• Work flexibly as directed by the Registered Manager.
• Engage in regular supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
• Complete all mandatory training provided by the company.
• Support and attend residents' house meetings.
• Participate actively in staff meetings.
• Comply with the home's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
• Administer or assist with medication and properly maintain medication records.

Candidate Requirements

• Dependable and honest character.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic about improving residents' wellbeing.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Capability to collaborate efficiently within a team.
• Experience with individuals who have mental health conditions or dementia is preferred.
• Possession of a full UK driving license is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of 3.70 for night shifts and 3.88 for day shifts.
