About the Role

Tesla's Battery Cell - Supplier Industrialization team focuses on new process development, qualification, and quality engineering activities related to battery cells and raw materials at suppliers. The Supply Chain Program Manager acts as the battery cell supply chain representative, coordinating closely with various internal departments including Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, and the Executive Team to transition new battery raw material designs from concept to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain comprehensive knowledge of Tesla's Qualification Process to ensure new materials meet production and quality standards.
• Lead timely material qualifications by coordinating cross-functional teams to identify critical paths and meet readiness milestones such as sample delivery, manufacturing trials, and factory ramp-up.
• Address and resolve supplier-related issues including factory readiness delays, production bottlenecks, and quality concerns alongside the supplier industrialization engineering team.
• Provide clear, concise communication to internal teams about qualification and production risks, mitigation strategies, and status updates.
• Convert technical challenges and data into actionable plans with well-defined milestones and responsible parties.
• Ensure factory and production line readiness at multiple supplier sites ahead of mass production launch.
• Evaluate, analyze, consolidate, and clearly communicate risks and status, highlighting key obstacles and presenting solutions in both working-level and senior executive forums.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in battery new product introduction (NPI) or manufacturing environments.
• Technical background such as process development, quality engineering, or design engineering is preferred.
• Proven experience managing executive-level presentations focused on impact, actions, and milestones.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, especially senior leaders.
• Capability to independently manage multiple projects and tasks involving diverse stakeholders.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to identify business process issues and implement improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary ranges from $112,000 to $217,200, supplemented by cash and stock awards. Pay varies based on location, expertise, and other factors.
