Overview
The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor collaborates with diverse teams such as Global Supply Management, Quality, Production, and Supplier Quality to ensure Tesla is reimbursed accurately by suppliers for production part quality issues and non-conforming material management along with its correct disposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the GFTX Chargeback team, ensuring all training, tools, and procedures are properly implemented to maintain smooth operations of Return to Vendor and Chargeback processes.
- Document and clearly communicate investigation findings effectively.
- Utilize basic functionalities of software like JIRA, X-Ray, Tableau, and other data collection platforms.
- Apply intermediate skills in Excel including generating plots and Pareto charts.
- Drive and coordinate training on parts quality inspections and rework procedures; collaborate with manufacturing teams to set shift priorities and allocate resources accordingly.
- Partner with management to support cost reduction initiatives.
- Provide insights and facilitate cross-functional team evaluations regarding the downstream impacts and prioritization of parts quality concerns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience supervising operations teams.
- Strong understanding of general manufacturing processes, quality methodologies, and demonstrated leadership abilities, reliability, initiative, and eagerness to learn and train others.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication, attention to detail, flexibility, and effective prioritization capabilities.
- Ability to give constructive feedback sensitively while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; preferred knowledge of quality techniques such as SPC, FMEA, process control charts, and defect analysis.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and able to stand, sit, or walk for over four hours daily.
- Comfort using technological tools including touch screens and business systems to manage and analyze data.
