Position Overview

The Supply Chain Analyst role focuses on delivering data-driven insights that enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations. Responsibilities include analyzing supply chain performance, preparing reports, identifying ways to improve processes, managing critical datasets, and collaborating across departments to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities, advanced proficiency in Excel, and the ability to translate intricate data into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze supply chain performance reports, dashboards, and key metrics to inform strategic and daily operational decisions.
• Effectively communicate data insights and present reports to cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, procurement, and leadership.
• Utilize advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query, and macros to create models and applications that enhance visibility and performance measurement.
• Build and sustain Power BI dashboards that deliver real-time trends and actionable insights.
• Examine inbound and outbound logistics, evaluating carrier efficiency, freight costs, and adherence to service commitments.
• Assist in analyzing transportation and freight opportunities, including experience evaluating freight rate structures.
• Support demand forecasting, inventory management, and warehouse operations through precise and timely data analysis.
• Identify and address supply chain inefficiencies using data-centric diagnostic methods.
• Collaborate with internal teams on business reviews, root cause analyses, budget preparation, and process improvements.
• Adapt communications to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences across various organizational levels.
• Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate data and bolster operational results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Operations Management, or related field.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested formulas, Power Query, and preferably macros.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to create and deliver reports intelligible to diverse audiences.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with Power BI or comparable data visualization software.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with transportation freight rate frameworks, rate analysis, or carrier management.
• Knowledge of supply chain management systems.
• Previous experience working in supply chain, logistics, or operations analytics.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of desk work and computer use.
• Occasional lifting or moving items up to 20 pounds (e.g., documents, equipment, samples).
• Visual focus on data, reports, and screens for long durations.
• Clear communication skills in-person, virtually, and by phone.
• Movement through warehouse or operational areas involving walking, standing, and exposure to varying temperatures.
• Ability to travel between company facilities or vendor locations as needed.
