About the Internship
This internship opportunity is aimed at 2nd year and above Engineering students interested in gaining practical experience in the electricity sector. Positions are primarily located in New Plymouth, with some roles available in Wellington, Tauranga, and Palmerston North. We particularly welcome applications from students connected to these regions.
Role Overview
Joining the Electricity Design & Protection team, you will engage in key tasks such as integrating protection data, preparing straightforward protection settings, supporting substation projects, and handling data integration. This role provides insight into how design decisions impact the broader electricity network and an opportunity to apply academic knowledge practically.
Candidate Profile
- Currently studying Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering field, at least in the 2nd year of study or beyond
- Possess meticulous attention to detail with an aptitude for interpreting technical data
- Comfortable utilizing various systems and software tools
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn within a collaborative team environment
