Position Overview

This full-time, on-site role based in Guntur requires a Study Abroad Counsellor to lead students through the entire overseas study process. Responsibilities include evaluating students' academic backgrounds, career interests, and preferred destinations before recommending appropriate universities and courses. Daily tasks cover conducting counseling sessions, clarifying admissions criteria, helping students prepare applications, and guiding scholarship and financial planning. The counsellor also supports visa documentation and interview preparation, organizes info sessions and pre-departure briefings, maintains detailed student records, collaborates with internal teams and international partners, addresses student queries promptly, and upholds a professional and supportive environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective counseling capabilities with a focus on listening and delivering clear, customized guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including confident verbal communication and professional email and phone conduct.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple students, deadlines, and documentation efficiently.
• Deep understanding of international education systems, admissions processes, and visa procedures; prior experience in study abroad counseling is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using standard office software and online platforms for managing student data and communications.
• Bachelor's degree in any field; degrees in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or related fields are favorable.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Guntur, collaborate within a team environment, and apply a student-centric, inclusive, and ethical approach.
