About the Role
Join a premier engineering consultancy based in Doha as a Structural Design Engineer. This role involves delivering structural analysis and design services for reinforced concrete and steel structures of large-scale construction projects, guaranteeing both safety and adherence to relevant codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed structural analysis and design work for reinforced concrete structures, with emphasis on high-rise buildings exceeding 20 floors.
- Create, evaluate, and validate structural calculation documents, modeling data, and comprehensive design reports.
- Employ CSI software products such as ETABS and SAFE for developing precise structural models and performing analyses.
- Generate and collaborate on structural drawings with the design drafting teams.
- Work in close alignment with Architecture, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure harmonious integration of designs.
- Assess and enhance structural systems involving reinforced concrete and steel to maximize efficiency and ease of construction.
- Maintain compliance with international structural design codes and local governmental regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least seven years of experience in structural design within the consultancy sector.
- Proven expertise in handling large-scale reinforced concrete projects, especially high-rise developments of 20 or more floors.
- Proficiency in ETABS and SAFE software packages from CSI.
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Prior experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Competence in reviewing steel structural systems is mandatory.
- Experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
