About Mindrift and the Role

Mindrift, powered by Toloka, is an AI and machine learning data partner focused on developing frontier AI models by creating domain-specific reinforcement learning environments and evaluation frameworks designed by real practitioners. Mindrift connects top-tier domain experts with advanced AI projects, leveraging Toloka's expertise in data generation, crowd technology, and machine learning systems. The company is launching a dedicated Management Consulting domain to translate real-world consulting engagements into structured learning environments for AI systems.

This initiative is building a team of experienced strategy consultants to transform authentic project experiences into comprehensive examples that encompass problem structuring, work planning, analysis, synthesis, and development of client-ready recommendations. The goal is to help generative AI models learn high-level business reasoning through practical and credible scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop realistic consulting project scenarios that reflect genuine engagement dynamics including industry context, financial data, constraints, conflicting inputs, and incomplete information.
• Design structured consulting tasks that replicate typical consulting work such as market sizing, commercial due diligence, cost optimization, growth strategy, operational diagnostics, and benchmarking.
• Create evaluation methodologies including grading frameworks, rubrics, and ideal solutions for each task to assist in training and calibrating AI grading systems based on language models.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of three years of hands-on strategy consulting experience at selected leading firms: McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte (Deloitte Strategy & Consulting), EY-Parthenon, Kearney, or Strategy& (PwC).
• Strong expertise in structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven analysis.
• Ability to decompose ambiguous client problems into precise analytical plans and deliver clear outputs.
• Skill in producing high-quality, client-ready deliverables under time-sensitive conditions.
• Excellent attention to logical consistency and output accuracy.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently with a disciplined work style.
• Proficient written English communication skills at B2 level or above.
• No specific technical background is necessary; training on required tools will be provided.

Additional Information

This position is a fully remote, freelance, project-based role concentrating on the analytical design and assessment of consulting tasks for AI training. Compensation on this project can reach up to $60 per hour depending on contribution level and speed, with potential variation across different projects based on complexity and expertise requirements.
