About the role
Bath & Body Works is looking for an individual contributor to support strategic sourcing within the contract manufacturing category. The position works closely with internal cross-functional teams and external contract manufacturers across the company portfolio. At the analyst level, the role contributes to product development, cost analysis, and initiatives that improve speed and reduce spend.

What you'll do
- Record and share category strategies with partners across the business.
- Run sourcing events that increase competition and support better cost, quality, and supply outcomes.
- Review and negotiate vendor quotations for new work and communicate award decisions.
- Assess cost increase requests, work to reduce them where possible, and explain the business impact.
- Perform detailed analyses to uncover cost savings or operational improvements.
- Manage tooling expenses from external vendors.
- Review and update standard costs with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain, pull, and analyze data from business IT systems.
- Train or delegate work to temporary workers or other associates when needed.
- Support the creation, rollout, and execution of sourcing strategies.
- Help with vendor setup and maintenance activities.
- Assist with improving vendor performance.
- Keep vendor profiles and capability information current.
- Gather vendor information and follow up during the RFQ process.
- Build knowledge of the vendor base and what each supplier can do.
- Develop and maintain sourcing strategies for assigned contract manufacturing categories.
- Support value engineering projects and broader departmental or central initiatives.
- Contribute to sourcing excellence programs, including process and standard-method committees.
- Carry out analytical work to support category strategy.
- Manage individual development planning, performance objectives, quarterly check-ins, and reviews as part of the performance cycle.
- Look for learning opportunities such as training tools, meetings, shadowing, vendor visits, and commodity schools.
- Take part in development meetings with peers and managers.
- Support employee engagement activities identified through the Associate Opinion Survey.
- Help train cross-functional partners and support onboarding efforts when appropriate.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, operations planning, package or supply chain engineering, or strategic sourcing.
- Strong attention to detail and solid analytical ability.
- Good financial judgment and the ability to evaluate situations using the right financial criteria.
- Ability to work accurately, calmly, thoroughly, and quickly while juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in taking negotiations through to completion with a positive business result.
- Ability to make decisions and clearly explain the analysis behind them.
- Works well across teams and functions.
- Self-driven, proactive, and creative in solving problems.
- Conducts work in an ethical, honest, professional, and confidential manner.
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant internship or school leadership experience is a plus.
- Background in manufacturing and/or consumer goods or retail is preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
