Store Service Attendant

About the Role

Ventia currently has an opening for a Store Service Attendant (Retail Assistant) located at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia. Reporting directly to the Site Leader, this role involves managing the storage and distribution of Defence Force uniforms and related items to active Defence personnel. This is a permanent full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering outstanding face-to-face customer service to Defence personnel, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
• Managing daily operational workflows, including receiving shipments, scanning goods, sorting, and stocking items appropriately.
• Assisting Defence customers by providing a variety of uniforms and badges and answering their queries regarding stock availability and locations.
• Participating in routine stock checks and maintaining cleanliness and order within the work area.
• Using computer systems to track inventory levels and item locations efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail environments is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills paired with great attention to detail.
• Passion for understanding and meeting customer needs effectively.
• Ability to collaborate and work well in a team setting.
• Competence in using computer programs, including spreadsheets and various applications, with readiness to learn Defence-specific software systems.
