Job Overview
Advance Auto Parts is seeking a reliable Store Driver to operate in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This role involves picking, staging, and safely delivering automotive parts to professional customers, handling returns, and supporting sales efforts through promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely pick, prepare, and deliver parts to professional customers.
- Collect returns and core parts from customers.
- Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
- Collect payments from credit account customers daily.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with MainStreet and National professional customers, sharing valuable insights gained during deliveries.
- Support upselling and cross-selling initiatives to boost average transaction value.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store including floors, restrooms, product facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
- Assist with inventory tasks including stocking the truck, managing back stock, and conducting cycle counts.
- Stay knowledgeable about product inventory and new arrivals to aid in sales recommendations.
- Engage walk-in customers to assess their needs and suggest suitable parts or services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Competency in basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with various units.
- Flexibility to work varied days, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Confidence engaging customers and promoting products.
- Enthusiasm for learning about new products and sales strategies.
Preferred Background
- Previous experience with automotive parts is advantageous.
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical & Work Environment Demands
The position requires frequent walking or standing and the ability to communicate effectively. Employees will use their hands and arms for handling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Lifting of up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance is expected. Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work primarily occurs indoors but may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions occasionally for tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration is possible. Noise levels are typically moderate.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation ranges from 17.60 to 18.85 Canadian dollars per hour for new hires, with exact pay depending on factors such as location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership, and shift differentials.
