About the Role

We are inviting applications for a Sonographer position at a prominent healthcare institution located in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Emirate. This full-time role involves conducting precise diagnostic ultrasound evaluations, assisting physicians in accurate patient diagnosis, and maintaining superior levels of patient care while strictly following healthcare regulations in the UAE.

Key Duties

• Conduct a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound scans such as abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, small parts, and musculoskeletal imaging as necessary.
• Prepare patients by explaining the ultrasound procedure and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
• Capture clear, diagnostic images and relay preliminary findings to radiologists when appropriate.
• Operate and service ultrasound devices, troubleshooting any technical issues to ensure equipment functions optimally.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient data and examination results.
• Follow infection control protocols, radiation safety measures (where relevant), and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other medical staff to provide timely diagnostic services.
• Protect patient confidentiality and abide by hospital policies and UAE health regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and participate in departmental quality enhancement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Imaging, or related disciplines.
• Holding or being eligible for DHA, DOH, or MOH license as a Sonographer is preferred.
• At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience after qualification in diagnostic ultrasound.
• General ultrasound expertise is essential; experience in obstetric, vascular, or cardiac ultrasound is advantageous.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is desirable.
