Role overview
Siemens Healthineers is hiring a Pre-Sales Software Planner to support Sales and Project Management teams within the APJ CPO Software Planning team. The role is focused on planning coordination, technical discussions, quote review, and pre-project customer engagement in a healthcare technology setting.
Key responsibilities
- Handle standard planning requests on your own, using established planning workflows, tools, and templates with limited supervision.
- Facilitate and lead infrastructure-focused conversations across clinical and IT stakeholders, including CIOs and hospital leadership.
- Carry out quote quality reviews independently by assessing customer needs in detail and coordinating follow-up with Sales.
- Build early trust with customers before project kickoff by delivering reliable outputs and setting clear expectations.
- Provide timely responses, escalate issues appropriately, and recommend cost-efficient solutions that satisfy regulatory, quality, safety, and contract requirements.
- Support high-profile customer accounts and projects, including Luminary, Strategic, Complex, and similar engagements.
- Complete additional duties assigned by the Direct Manager as required.
Skills and experience required
The position calls for a bachelor’s degree or roughly 3 to 5 years of experience working with software solutions in multi-vendor healthcare IT environments. Strong knowledge of network architecture, security, software control systems, and server administration is important. Candidates should also be able to create system topology diagrams in Visio, manage deployment planning and troubleshooting for software and IT infrastructure, and work with cloud and virtualized server environments. Experience in oncology service lines, especially with Varian products, is highly preferred. A PMP certification and telecommunications background are also advantageous. Strong communication, customer handling, and remote conferencing skills are essential, along with proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Working conditions and additional requirements
- Work schedules may vary depending on hospital needs, including weekends and hours outside standard business time.
- You should be comfortable representing Varian professionally and with confidence in its products.
- You will need to collaborate closely with all Varian teams to maintain cooperation and resolve issues effectively.
- Travel within and outside APJ may be required.
- Training for several weeks outside APJ may also be required.
