Internship Programme Overview

This internship is designed for ambitious students eager to gain practical experience during an 8 to 10 week paid programme. Interns will engage in impactful projects, tackle real industry challenges, and develop professionally while guided by experienced mentors. High-performing interns may be invited to continue their careers through Revolut’s Graduate Programme.

Role Information

The Technology team is responsible for building the backend and frontend systems powering Revolut’s services. Interns focused on Java engineering will contribute hands-on coding and system development, working with modern technologies such as Java 17/21, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, SparkJava, Spock, JOOQ, and a test-driven development approach.

Location and Working Model

The programme accepts international applicants who are willing to relocate to Revolut’s technology hubs in Poland, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, or the United Kingdom. Visa, travel, and accommodation support are provided under certain conditions. The role is hybrid, requiring approximately three days per week onsite at the respective office.

Primary Responsibilities

Cooperate with engineers across diverse technical specializations
Develop APIs and microservices
Improve critical systems like risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing
Work on both new initiatives and enhancements to existing projects
Regularly communicate progress with global teams and learn from senior engineers
Organize tasks, track developments, and present results clearly
Engage in ongoing feedback sessions to foster professional growth

Candidate Requirements

Currently in penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related fields, expecting to graduate in 2028
Academic record equivalent to a 2:1 degree or higher
Demonstrated coding skills through a portfolio or open-source contributions
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Motivated, curious, and focused on achieving results
Proficiency in English communication
Ability to collaborate well within a fast-paced, team-based environment
Full-time availability during summer 2027
Willingness and ability to attend the office in country of employment at least three days weekly
