Signage Production & Installation Technician

Overview

Position located in Doha, Qatar, seeking a skilled technician with 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the GCC region. This role demands proficiency in English for reading, writing, and basic communication. Compensation includes a competitive salary contingent on experience, along with accommodation or accommodation and food allowances according to company policies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install an array of indoor and outdoor signage solutions.
• Prepare various surfaces and substrates adequately for applying vinyl graphics and signage attachments.
• Precisely apply vinyl graphics, ensuring stringent quality standards.
• Complete mounting, lamination, trimming, and finishing of printed graphics for effective installation.
• Handle installation of multiple signage types including ACP cladding, three-dimensional channel letters, acrylic and metal lettering, large-format vinyl graphics, banners, post and panel signs, wayfinding and directional signage, sign frames, and concrete base installations.
• Operate installation-related tools, machinery, and power equipment safely and efficiently.
• Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and layout plans to facilitate installations.
• Conduct thorough quality checks before, during, and post-installation phases.
• Collaborate with production and project teams to meet deadlines.
• Maintain and organize tools and workspace to uphold cleanliness and efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and quality regulations throughout all operations.
• Travel to various project locations as necessary for installation assignments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in sign production, fabrication, and installation.
• Strong command over manufacturing both indoor and outdoor signage.
• Expert in vinyl application, graphic mounting, and lamination techniques.
• Well-versed in ACP cladding, channel letters, structural signage, and overall sign fabrication processes.
• Competent in operating installation machinery and power tools safely.
• Ability to read and understand technical blueprints, specifications, and measurements.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality workmanship.
• Organized, capable of effective planning, and proficient in time management.
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit to work at heights and perform demanding installation tasks.
• Willing to travel for project requirements.
• English proficiency for reading, writing, and basic communication.
• Experience working in GCC countries is advantageous.
