Role Overview
We seek a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to manage our outbound operations at the medical device distribution center. This position involves overseeing daily shipping functions, ensuring precise, compliant, and timely dispatch of products to healthcare providers while adhering strictly to FDA, ISO, GMP, and GDP regulations. You will lead and mentor logistics associates, optimize operational effectiveness, and foster a culture committed to quality, safety, accountability, and continuous advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily outbound shipping activities, guaranteeing accuracy, compliance, and timely deliveries that meet customer expectations.
- Lead and support logistics staff through coaching, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
- Coordinate shipping timetables, carrier relations, labor resources, and task prioritization to meet deadlines and customer cut-offs.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory standards including FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, GDP, and internal Quality Management Systems.
- Oversee inspection, packaging, labeling, documentation, and lot/serial traceability to ensure product quality and patient safety.
- Utilize SAP/ERP, transportation management systems, and warehouse management platforms to track operations, inventory, and reporting.
- Implement Lean and continuous improvement strategies to enhance throughput, accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to resolve operational challenges and improve processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years’ experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
- At least one year of leadership experience within warehouse or logistics operations.
- Background working in highly regulated settings like FDA or ISO-controlled environments in healthcare or medical device industries.
- Proficiency with SAP/ERP software, transportation management systems, and warehouse management systems.
- Expertise in international shipping regulations.
- Strong leadership capabilities, workflow management, and team performance monitoring skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related fields.
- Experience in medical device or healthcare distribution under stringent regulatory controls.
- Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, GMP, GDP, and quality system standards.
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Relevant professional certifications like APICS, Lean, OSHA, etc.
- Understanding of IATA and DOT shipping requirements.

Additional Information
This is a full-time onsite role based in Auburn, NSW, Australia, with working hours from Monday to Friday 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
