About the Role
Snowflake is at the forefront of enabling the next generation of agentic enterprises with AI-driven innovation. We seek individuals who integrate AI as a fundamental collaborator in problem-solving, embracing an experimental mindset in a high-velocity work environment. This Senior Solutions Engineer position based in Perth is part of the ANZ field team, focused on enterprise accounts within the region. The role involves close collaboration across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to showcase and deliver the value of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with account executives and multifunctional teams to secure technical wins throughout the sales process.
- Effectively communicate Snowflake’s platform vision and value propositions to both technical and executive audiences.
- Engage directly with prospects and customers through discovery sessions, demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept to illustrate Snowflake’s benefits.
- Advise customers on modern data architecture, including analytics, data engineering, AI/ML, performance optimization, and governance strategies.
- Translate diverse business challenges into actionable Snowflake solution designs that foster enduring value and adoption.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with key technical stakeholders such as architects, engineers, and platform teams within strategic enterprise accounts.
- Keep abreast of competitive and complementary technologies to position Snowflake advantageously.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to refine Snowflake’s product offerings and messaging.
- Inform customers about product innovations, roadmap updates, and emerging use cases.
- Represent Snowflake at customer interactions, executive briefings, workshops, and industry forums.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in solution engineering, sales engineering, solution architecture, or pre-sales roles with customer-facing focus.
- Proficient understanding of modern data ecosystems including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, lakes, analytics platforms, and cloud-native data infrastructures.
- Solid experience navigating complex technical environments and engaging multiple stakeholders in enterprise customer settings.
- Strong technical acumen with hands-on expertise in SQL and Python.
- Ability to align technical solutions with customers’ business challenges to deliver practical Snowflake implementations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities targeting diverse audiences from technical professionals to senior executives.
- Skilled in conducting whiteboarding sessions, technical workshops, and collaborative solution discussions.
- A pragmatic, cooperative approach focused on hands-on involvement to ensure customer success.
- Effective relationship management to build trust and simplify intricate technical details into clear business narratives.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge or experience in AI and machine learning deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Exposure to large-scale database environments and cloud-based data platforms.
- Background in enterprise SaaS and navigating complex technical sales processes.
- Academic qualification in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
