Senior Product Manager, Core Platform

About the Role

This position is for a Senior Product Manager focused on the Core Platform, based in Germany. The role involves leading the strategic direction and development of a foundational platform that supports scalable, AI-driven products. You will be responsible for enhancing key platform features related to security, reliability, scalability, and developer experience, ensuring seamless integration and delivery across the product ecosystem. This position requires collaboration across product, engineering, infrastructure, and customer teams to solve complex technical challenges and enable fast innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the roadmap and strategic vision for the core platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and product requirements.
• Drive the creation of essential platform capabilities such as identity and access management (including SSO and RBAC), data management, APIs, system integrations, and shared services.
• Work closely with engineering teams throughout all phases including discovery, design, development, launch, and iterative improvement.
• Collect input from product teams, customers, and technical stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities for platform enhancement.
• Convert complex business and technical needs into clear product specifications, success indicators, and actionable delivery plans.
• Lead initiatives to boost platform scalability, security, governance, reliability, extensibility, and improve overall product development velocity.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, security, and customer-oriented teams to ensure the platform meets current and future product demands.
• Track platform metrics, user adoption, and feedback to refine and optimize platform features and user experience continually.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an equivalent level of professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of product management experience with responsibility for complex technical or platform products.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and scaling platform features such as identity and access management (SSO, RBAC), data ingestion, streaming, APIs, and systems integrations.
• Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructures, and hybrid or on-premise deployments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects involving engineering, product management, and customer support teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset capable of translating ambiguous challenges into coherent product roadmaps and successful outcomes.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable addressing technical and non-technical audiences alike.
• Experience in AI/ML platforms, industrial software, manufacturing technology, analytics, or data management is advantageous.
• Experience working directly with technical users to develop scalable platform solutions is a bonus.
