Position Overview
We seek an experienced Senior Procurement Officer with extensive background in EPC and construction sectors, ideally with exposure to Oil & Gas projects. This role is critical to managing end-to-end procurement operations ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee entire procurement and purchasing processes for EPC and construction endeavors.
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies aimed at achieving budget efficiency and punctual project completion.
- Identify, assess, and cultivate dependable suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Solicit and evaluate competitive bids, preparing detailed commercial analyses.
- Lead negotiations related to pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, and contractual terms.
- Generate and manage purchase orders alongside all procurement-related paperwork.
- Collaborate closely with Project, Engineering, Estimation, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure alignment.
- Supervise supplier delivery performance, material quality, and contract compliance.
- Maintain robust vendor relationships and an updated approved supplier registry.
- Spot opportunities for cost reductions and alternative sourcing solutions.
- Guarantee all procurement activities align with company policies, project specifications, and budgetary constraints.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in procurement and purchasing roles.
- Mandatory experience within EPC and construction industries.
- Preferably experienced in Oil & Gas, MEP, industrial, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
- Deep understanding of materials, equipment, and services associated with construction projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier sourcing, vendor evaluation, bid analysis, commercial negotiation, and procurement planning.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflow.
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement software systems.
- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and coordination competencies.
- Educational qualifications such as Bachelor's degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant disciplines preferred.
- Note: Applicants without pertinent EPC and construction procurement experience will be excluded from consideration.
