Role Overview
The Senior Officer for Business Development will oversee sales activities in Visakhapatnam, aiming to broaden market reach, nurture client relationships, and manage business requirements within the city and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong contacts with Distributor leadership to support company initiatives and align with their growth needs.
- Guide analysis of Distributor organizations, helping identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- Plan and execute corporate sales events, promotions, and distributor qualifications tailored to global strategy within the local market.
- Promote national events and campaigns across the region effectively.
- Ensure ethical conduct within the team and distributor network.
- Collaborate with local leaders and management to devise and implement integrated strategies supporting distributor business requirements.
- Formulate and oversee distributor and consumer communication plans ensuring effective implementation.
- Suggest suitable distributor promotions aligned with global objectives to generate enthusiasm and momentum.
- Engage with distributors to gauge growth prospects, comprehend market needs, and daily operational methods.
- Track distributor sales performance, identify challenges, and implement measures to improve weak areas.
- Manage budgets for events and promotions prudently.
- Handle purchase requisitions and orders for the region.
- Foster constructive relationships with internal support teams across departments.
- Set annual performance goals for the assigned territory.
- Travel as required and occasionally work on weekends for regional and national events.
- Prepare comprehensive sales data and reports.
- Analyze market trends and sentiments to innovate and strategize appropriately.

Experience and Education
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and Customer Relationship Management.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with specialization in management.

- Applicants must have the ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
- The workplace is maintained clean, well-lit, ventilated, with low to moderate noise levels.
