Role Overview
The position of Senior Manager is embedded within the newly formed Leadership & Organisation Development Unit (LODU). This role acts as an internal consultant and practitioner focusing on advancing leadership expertise, enhancing interpersonal workplace dynamics, fostering organizational culture, and steering change management. Collaborating closely with leaders and stakeholders at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the role is pivotal in reinforcing leadership effectiveness, molding organizational culture, and aiding in change adoption. This role offers a chance to impact CAAS influentially within a streamlined, goal-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and provide execution of leadership development initiatives across various leadership levels including senior management, middle management, and new managers, nurturing a uniform and robust leadership culture within CAAS.
- Enhance quality of interactions and relationships between supervisors and staff and improve team cohesion by furnishing leaders and teams with appropriate skills, methods, and tools.
- Act as a culture driver and advocate by taking projects from the concept phase through communication and implementation stages, embedding CAAS’s rejuvenated mission, vision, and values into the culture that supports transformation and expansion.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and domain experts to strategize, communicate, and lead change management efforts while supporting the development of change capabilities and enduring management practices.
- Contribute to the creation of sustainable frameworks, processes, and structures across leadership, culture, and change management domains to institutionalize best practices beyond individual projects.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be passionate about people and purpose-driven, uphold high performance standards, and be committed to continuous learning and improving leadership, interpersonal relationships, and workplace collaboration. The candidate should be adept at handling ambiguity, embracing diverse responsibilities, and thriving in a lean team environment where collective contribution is essential. The individual must navigate strategic planning and detailed execution while engaging effectively with senior leadership and staff at all organizational levels.
Experience and Qualifications
- Educational background in Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development, or related fields; postgraduate studies or professional certifications in leadership development, change management, or organisation development are advantageous.
- A minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in leadership development, organisation development, or change management, including experience supporting senior-level stakeholders.
- Proficient in designing and delivering leadership programs and interventions, capable of converting theoretical concepts into practical, engaging, and impactful solutions.
- Strong facilitation, public speaking, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to establish credibility and trust across a wide range of stakeholders.
Terms and Contract
Appointment will reflect prior relevant experience. Initial employment is on a 3-year contract basis, with possibilities for permanent placement or contract renewal thereafter.
