Senior Manager - Cargo & Transport Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee cargo and transport operations across more than 40 branch locations in Mumbai, ensuring flawless and timely cargo movement. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker who balances operational cost efficiency with superior service standards, comfortable both with data-driven analysis and hands-on operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage cargo operations across numerous branches, facilitating smooth cargo handoffs and acting as liaison between management and branch teams.
• Conduct routine site visits, comprising 40-50% travel, to audit operations and coach branch personnel.
• Guarantee adherence to delivery schedules with zero tolerance for delay, optimizing routes to remove bottlenecks and reduce idle times from first mile pickup to last mile delivery.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators including vehicle usage, loading efficiency, on-time delivery rates, and damage or shortage metrics, taking corrective measures as needed.
• Handle financial management of operational budgets, mitigate losses such as fuel theft or detention fees, and manage vendor relations, including onboarding and negotiating with transportation partners to maintain operational capacity and margins.

Compensation

The annual CTC offered ranges between ₹7,00,000 to ₹9,00,000.
