Job description
Position Overview
The University of Cape Coast is inviting qualified candidates to apply for Senior Lecturer positions in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, Faculty of Science and Technology Education, under the College of Education Studies. Openings are available in several specialized fields including Wood Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Family Ecology and Management, and Food and Nutrition.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a PhD from a recognized university in the relevant discipline.
- Significant teaching and industry-related experience is required.
- A demonstrated record of scholarly publishing in international journals or a clear potential for research is essential.
- Strong professional expertise and background in the specific area of specialization are expected.
- Experience mentoring students in research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Must have served a minimum of four years as a Lecturer or equivalent at a university or similar institution.
- Candidates should be no older than 50 years.
- At least five refereed publications in the candidate’s field of specialization are required for the rank of Senior Lecturer.
