Educational Background and Certifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, or related fields. Holding certifications related to Quality Management, Inspection, or Construction Quality Control is highly desirable. Additionally, certifications like ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor are advantageous.
Extensive experience is required, including 8 to 12 years in QA/QC inspection for construction, oil & gas, industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects. Furthermore, applicants should have over 15 years of experience specifically in mechanical welding inspections within the oil and gas sector.
Essential certifications include CSWIP 3.2.2, BGAS Gr.2/NACE Level 2, API 570/510/653, and qualification in ISO 9712 / ASNT, PCN, or equivalent NDT Level II for RT, UT, MT, and PT methods.
An understanding of ASME, API, and ISO standards is vital, along with an ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail are important. Preferably, candidates will have Gulf region experience, with Qatar experience considered a plus but not mandatory.
Core Responsibilities
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of QA/QC processes, quality management systems, and inspection techniques.
- Assess material inspection documents including test certificates, calibration certificates, and quality records.
- Apply expertise in Non-Destructive Testing methods and comply with relevant standards.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), punch lists, and reports on corrective actions.
- Manage documentation systems related to project quality control.

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and proficient report writing.
- Coordination skills to liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and third-party inspectors.
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite and quality management software applications.
- Capability to work autonomously and juggle multiple inspection activities concurrently.
