Senior Foul Sewerage Design Engineer

Overview

An international engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Foul Sewerage Design Engineer to contribute to their Roads & Infrastructure team in Doha, Qatar. This position involves comprehensive responsibilities in the design and delivery of foul sewerage systems for major highway and infrastructure projects, adhering strictly to local regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Lead the planning and hydraulic design of foul sewerage infrastructure including gravity sewer networks, rising mains, and pumping stations.
• Undertake coordination efforts across multidisciplinary engineering teams and liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Apply extensive knowledge of wastewater collection system design, hydraulic computation, pipeline engineering, and sewer network analysis for road and highway projects.
• Employ proficiency in industry-standard engineering software such as SewerGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD to enhance design quality.
• Ensure all designs comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal requirements, Qatar sewerage design codes, and relevant international standards.
• Possess a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience focused on foul sewerage and utility infrastructure design, including at least 5 years in GCC countries.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is considered advantageous.
• Maintain valid MMUP Certification, which is mandatory for the role.
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to deliver complex infrastructure solutions effectively.
