About the Role
We are collaborating with a forward-thinking technology company in Dublin, Ireland, to find a seasoned Senior Data Scientist. This permanent full-time position offers flexible remote or hybrid working arrangements throughout Ireland. The role focuses on employing advanced machine learning, AI, and data analytics to develop solutions that tackle significant business problems in an innovative and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and deploying machine learning models to solve intricate business issues.
- Utilizing predictive modeling, classification, clustering, and conducting advanced data analytics.
- Investigating and integrating Generative AI solutions where applicable.
- Analyzing both structured and unstructured datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Creating proof-of-concept projects and assessing cutting-edge AI technologies.
- Partnering with diverse teams to convert business needs into scalable AI-driven products.
- Participating across the full model lifecycle including development, deployment, and optimization.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven extensive experience in data science, machine learning, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing techniques such as text classification, topic modeling, embeddings, and familiarity with modern language model frameworks, including transformer-based architectures and semantic search methods.
- Solid experience using contemporary machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Track record of building, testing, and launching predictive models successfully.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and communication skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously and manage several priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud computing environments and ML operational best practices (MLOps).
- Exposure to Generative AI technologies and large language model implementations.
- Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines.
- Skills in data visualization and report generation tools.
- Experience in software product development or SaaS company environments.
