Senior AI Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and enhance sophisticated Artificial Intelligence solutions that drive business transformation and innovation. This position demands leading the technical efforts on Machine Learning implementations, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, AI Operations (AIOps), and scalable AI platforms ensuring performance, security, and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement AI and Machine Learning solutions targeting operational and business challenges.
• Develop and optimize Generative AI applications using LLMs and enterprise frameworks.
• Architect and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with vector databases and knowledge retrieval.
• Build multi-agent Agentic AI solutions with orchestration technologies.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and services supporting AI applications.
• Manage end-to-end AI model deployment, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle processes.
• Establish MLOps and AIOps best practices for dependable model rollout and operations.
• Design scalable data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and AI-ready data structures.
• Enhance performance of AI inference, model serving systems, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and tech teams to identify AI use cases.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and evaluation frameworks to ensure AI model quality and reliability.
• Support cloud-native AI deployments across public cloud platforms.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership within engineering teams.
• Contribute to AI strategy, architectural standards, governance, and innovation efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Engineering, or Cloud Platforms preferred.
• Over 5 years' experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering roles.
• Demonstrated success designing and deploying AI/ML solutions within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise in Large Language Models, Generative AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Experience implementing MLOps in production-quality AI systems.
• Proficiency working with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Track record of delivering AI projects from design to production and ongoing operational support.

Technical Skills

• Python programming and advanced SQL knowledge.
• API development and integration expertise.
• Experience with Large Language Models such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods.
• Familiarity with vector databases including Qdrant, Pinecone, and Chroma.
• Utilization of LangChain, LangGraph, and multi-agent systems.
• Machine Learning and advanced analytical capabilities.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Implementation of CI/CD pipelines and MLOps workflows.
• AI inference optimization using vLLM and model serving techniques.
• Data engineering tools such as Airflow, Kafka, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Using AI monitoring and evaluation tools like LangFuse, MLflow, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Enterprise data management and data architecture understanding.

Additional Information

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential. Effective communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership abilities are required for this role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The employment type is full-time with onsite presence.
