Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Gulf Power Group is recruiting for the role of Senior Accountant to be based in Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring 5 to 8 years of professional experience in commercial and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will have a robust accounting background, sharp analytical capabilities, and effective English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain precise financial records and generate regular reports.
• Oversee general ledger tasks including reconciliations and monthly closing processes.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, alongside cash flow monitoring.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning activities.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, organizational policies, and local regulatory requirements.
• Provide assistance during external and internal audits.
• Analyze financial information to deliver timely reports and advice to management.
• Liaise with different departments on financial concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Between 5 and 8 years of professional experience within commercial and industrial companies.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Skilled in usage of accounting software and proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Open to all nationalities, with a preference for Arab candidates.
