Scaffolding Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Inspector to join our team, specializing in EPC Oil & Gas and related energy projects. This role involves inspecting, auditing, and certifying scaffolding structures to ensure strict adherence to project specifications, statutory regulations, and company standards, maintaining safety and compliance throughout construction, maintenance, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of scaffolding structures prior to initial use, following modifications, and at periodic intervals as per project guidelines.
• Ensure scaffolds are assembled, altered, or dismantled according to approved designs, method statements, and applicable standards.
• Maintain compliance with CISRS criteria, project health and safety protocols, and relevant international standards.
• Manage scaffold inspection tags and documentation, including issuance and updates.
• Identify any hazardous scaffold conditions and promptly initiate corrective measures.
• Evaluate scaffold requests to determine appropriate scaffold types and access methods.
• Conduct audits of scaffold erection procedures and site work practices.
• Collaborate with construction, maintenance, operations, and safety teams to address scaffold requirements and safety issues.
• Verify that scaffolds are engineered to support designated loads and operational demands.
• Inspect scaffold materials regularly to confirm they are suitable and in safe condition.
• Contribute to safety meetings, risk evaluations, toolbox talks, and incident investigation activities related to scaffolding.
• Maintain detailed and accurate inspection reports, registers, and records.
• Support temporary access needs during project shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning phases.
• Foster a culture of safety ensuring adherence to company and client HSE standards.

Experience and Qualifications

• Five to ten years of scaffolding experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Offshore, or Energy projects.
• At least three years working specifically as a Scaffolding Inspector.
• Demonstrated experience on large-scale EPC construction projects.
• Knowledgeable in industrial access solutions, temporary structures, and complex scaffold configurations.
• Experienced in shutdown, turnaround, brownfield, and greenfield project environments.
• Must hold a valid CISRS Scaffolding Inspector Certification and Working at Height Training.
• Additional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH, First Aid, H2S Awareness, and Confined Space Awareness are advantageous.
