Sandwich Artist

Overview

This permanent full-time position as a Sandwich Artist involves working onsite at a restaurant located in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The role requires 30 to 40 hours of work weekly and does not require previous experience or formal education, as training will be provided. Effective communication in English is necessary.

Primary Duties

• Deliver clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving locations and set up tables.
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposals.
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs promptly.
• Replenish condiments and supplies at service areas and tables.
• Hand-wash and sanitize dishes and related items.
• Keep accurate records tracking food quantities used.
• Package to-go meals and wrap food portions appropriately.
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items as per guidelines.
• Serve customers at counters or buffet stations.
• Restock refrigerators and salad bars regularly.
• Take customer orders efficiently and courteously.
• Keep kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitized.
• Manage cleaning supplies safely and properly.
• Receive deliveries and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and storage spaces.
• Dispose of kitchen garbage responsibly.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain hygiene.
• Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting.

Required Certificates and Qualifications

• First Aid Certificate
• Food Safety Certificate

Equipment Proficiency

• Experience or ability to operate conventional ovens
• Use of electronic cash registers
• Operation of grills

Transportation
