Job description
Overview
The Sales Supervisor will lead a team of salesmen and oversee sales and distribution activities across assigned routes, ensuring alignment with company policies and achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support ASM/BM in setting sales targets, motivate and guide sales personnel to efficiently manage routes, driving achievement of goals within operational limits.
- Gather and maintain insights on market conditions, distribution channels, and competitor activities; collaborate with supervisors to determine appropriate responses.
- Ensure all sales staff are thoroughly trained and execute the company’s replenishment program to keep products fresh and adequately stocked per system standards.
- Manage execution of agreements with key Modern Trade and Wholesale accounts, maintaining positive relations with customers in the designated area.
- Coordinate and optimize daily journey plans for salesmen to maximize productivity and ensure familiarity and recognition by customers in the territory.
- Monitor product shelf life at points of sale to ensure proper stock rotation, prevention of expired product display, and adherence to wastage control policies.
- Initiate and facilitate sales to new customers within assigned routes, coordinating with relevant departments to maximize sales growth.
- Implement company credit policies, managing credit and collections to ensure timely payment compliance.
- Maintain company assets and vehicles in good condition, initiating repairs or replacements as required.
- Manage staffing levels and quality in accordance with HR policies; provide training to new and current employees.
- Ensure timely and precise data entry, administration, and reporting via MSFA according to sales and distribution protocols.
- Lead daily MSFA endorsements with salesmen to review performance and identify areas for improvement and follow-up.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure salesmen uniforms meet company standards to reflect professional representation.
- Regularly monitor inventory carryover in salesmen’s vehicles, initiating corrective actions such as unloading excess stock to maintain inventory accuracy and sales efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Completed vocational education in business, marketing, or finance.
- At least 5 years of van sales experience, or a minimum of 2 years in a comparable role.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Approachable and firm management style.
- Proven experience in people management.
- Preferred languages: English and Arabic.
- Other prerequisites: Minimum age 22 years, physically fit, and proficient with computers.
