Job description
About the Position
This role requires accountability for sales outcomes, concentrating efforts on achieving specific goals. As a Sales Officer, your primary responsibility will be to maximize point of sale volumes and ensure optimal product placement. You will manage and organize client territories to align with company business initiatives and functional objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strive to meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
- Conduct visits at Points of Sale within your designated zone to confirm product availability, correct placement, visible pricing, accurate advertising materials positioned timely and in the right amounts.
- Receive and process orders that meet quantity and assortment requirements to maintain targeted visibility and stock levels at retail outlets.
- Identify and advise on new opportunities to grow the business.
- Drive sales through client engagement, optimizing catalog communication, placement strategies, promotions, and innovative selling tactics.
- Develop and sustain strong customer relationships in the field.
- Communicate and coordinate execution of activities to stores ensuring compliance.
- Promote client involvement in Category Management and improvement initiatives.
- Report on store activity trends and performance metrics.
- Oversee merchandising implementation activities.
- Monitor trade field activity performance including compliance with sales agreements, pricing trends, and progress against KPIs such as POS Quality and Customer Quality standards.
- Regularly report performance data and sales results.
Collaboration
You will interact mainly with the Field/Regional Manager, Category Management team, and Merchandisers.
Candidate Profile
- Hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Economics or Marketing.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in field sales.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is advantageous.
- Fluent in English.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
- Familiar with commercial software tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Possess a valid driving license.
