Role overview
This position is for a site-based Safety Officer in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, responsible for maintaining strong environmental, health, and safety standards across all project work.
Key responsibilities
- Assess subcontractor safety submissions and sign off documentation such as RAMS where appropriate.
- Carry out regular site walkthroughs, inspections, and safety audits.
- Provide EHS inductions and training sessions for staff and contractors.
- Examine incidents, identify root causes, and support corrective action plans.
- Run safety meetings and help ensure ongoing regulatory and site compliance.
Requirements
- A Level 7 qualification in EHS, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction or engineering environments.
- Solid understanding of safety legislation, regulations, and practical site procedures.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a salary of €65k–€75k, depending on experience, plus a 5–10% bonus. Additional benefits include pension coverage, employee assistance support, and learning support.
