Overview
The Relationship Manager for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) plays a pivotal role within the Rural Banking vertical, tasked with crafting tailored financial solutions for KCC clientele. This position is accountable for acquiring new customers, strengthening current client relationships, and ensuring superior service standards. Close collaboration with product and operations teams is essential to enhance customer acquisition, servicing capabilities, and to expand the loan portfolio. The role directly supports the goals of the branch banking division by managing new-to-bank clients and striving to improve customer profitability.
Primary Duties
- Expand liabilities by increasing deposit balances of existing KCC customers and securing a greater share of their financial activities.
- Continuously observe account cash flows to proactively spot viable business opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with customers through emails and calls, providing updates on interest rates, exchange rates, and various product offerings.
- Develop and nurture new sales opportunities for KCC products by leveraging referrals, brokers, and other sourcing methods.
- Acquire fresh KCC clients with a comprehensive understanding of credit assessment and financial documentation requirements.
- Utilize expertise in liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency management, and relationship handling to boost business volumes.
- Manage the KCC loan portfolio by monitoring accounts actively, processing renewals, ensuring customer retention, and maintaining strict portfolio hygiene with minimal deferred payments or covenant breaches.
- Work synergistically with branch banking teams to maximize operational efficiencies within the broader banking framework.
- Analyze competitor strategies and customer feedback to inform growth plans.
- Propose improvements to optimize service delivery and operational processes throughout the branch network.
- Demonstrate capabilities in sales planning, promotional activities, and marketing efforts.
- Interpret financial statements and manage credit evaluation and security documentation procedures effectively.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Identify, attract, and retain high-caliber talent for critical roles within the reporting hierarchy.
- Track employee productivity, evaluate recruitment quality, and address attrition rates by deploying improvement measures.
- Support teams in achieving growth objectives by furnishing both strategic guidance and operational assistance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in rural banking, KCC or credit product management, or relationship management.
