About the Organisation
The organisation builds on 28 years of apprenticeship support experience to deliver stronger services focused on improving retention, completion and satisfaction outcomes for apprentices and employers. It provides no-cost, end-to-end guidance so apprentices and employers understand how to access the right support at the right time throughout the apprenticeship or traineeship journey.
Apprenticeships and traineeships are an important part of Australia’s vocational education and training system. They help connect people’s career goals with the skill needs of employers, while also allowing individuals to learn, study and earn at the same time across many different occupations.
About the Role
The Regional Manager will carry out in-person sign-up activities for Australian Apprentices at workplaces across Launceston and nearby areas. This includes giving clear and accurate advice about apprenticeship conditions, rights, obligations, training contracts, suitable qualifications and approved training providers.
The role also involves checking that apprenticeship arrangements are suitable, supporting apprentices and employers to complete the training contract correctly, and helping them access support services that can improve completion outcomes.
Key Duties
- Provide apprenticeship support services across Launceston and surrounding locations.
- Meet apprentices and employers face to face in the workplace to complete sign-up processes.
- Explain apprenticeship terms, rights, responsibilities and training contract requirements.
- Confirm the apprenticeship setup is appropriate for the apprentice and employer.
- Guide employers and apprentices toward relevant qualifications and approved training providers.
- Help stakeholders access support services that encourage stronger completion rates.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
About You
This opportunity suits someone who is highly organised, comfortable working independently, and able to manage a busy workload while building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You should also bring practical knowledge of the apprenticeship environment, sound client service capability, and the confidence to work with business and community contacts. Strong communication, networking and liaison skills are important, along with the ability to interpret government guidelines and vocational education and training legislation. Comfort using MS Office and external databases is also expected.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will receive the tools needed to perform the role, including a mobile phone allowance, a laptop and a vehicle. A competitive salary is also offered, together with an attractive range of employee benefits.
Applicants must be prepared to complete pre-employment screening, including a satisfactory police check, working with children check, reference checks and proof of work rights. A current and valid driver’s licence is required for this position.
How to Apply
Applications should be submitted online through the organisation’s careers section. A cover letter is required and should answer one question only: what has attracted you to apply for this role, and what can you bring to the role and the organisation? The position description is available in the careers section.
