Job Overview
We present a prime opportunity within our Operations division located in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This position is responsible for promoting ongoing enhancement in product quality, safety protocols, and cost efficiency adhering to Group policies. The goal is to boost customer satisfaction, minimize complaints, and elevate operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a secure work environment consistent with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) best practices.
- Supervise quality control measures across processes and final products ensuring adherence to both internal and customer benchmarks.
- Organize and lead projects involving product and process development.
- Implement strategic initiatives aimed at reducing product costs.
- Oversee inspection procedures to confirm that finished goods meet detailed technical specifications.
- Guarantee proper assessment and regulation of incoming raw materials.
- Administer calibration and maintenance routines for laboratory apparatus to ensure reliable testing outcomes.
- Develop and apply strategies to decrease quality-related complaints and enhance product reliability.
- Support tailoring of products to fulfill client-specific and application-based demands.
- Engage in technical discussions and quality assurance during client and supplier visits.
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and the Calderys internal quality framework.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Marketing, Research & Development, Project Applications, and Supply Chain.
- Provide guidance and training to team members in technical competencies to foster skill growth.
- Manage inspections conducted by third parties and customers on materials with professionalism and clarity.
- Keep detailed test documentation for traceability, audit readiness, and compliance.
- Promote and maintain 5S workplace organization standards to ensure cleanliness and operational efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Ceramic Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three years’ direct experience in refractory testing and material characterization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ceramic materials and refractory products.
- Familiarity with a variety of refractory testing and analytical methods.
- Understanding of mineralogy, crystallography, and phase diagrams relevant to ceramics.
- Competence in written and spoken English communication.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and professional email correspondence.
- Ability to correlate refractory characteristics with their practical performance.
- Strong analytical mind with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated capability to work cooperatively with different functional teams.
- Detail-focused and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
