Project Manager - Public Safety Software Implementations (Remote - US)

Job Role and Responsibilities

• Represent Octave as the chief contact for customer partners within the Public Safety division.
• Lead and manage large-scale software project implementations, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting client quality standards.
• Create comprehensive project plans detailing scope, budget, deliverables, schedules, and team roles to meet project goals.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and instructions to a multifaceted project team.
• Monitor and review work progress for accuracy, completeness, and quality requirements.
• Ensure effective and timely communication among project teams, management, and customers.
• Facilitate resolution of issues and escalate when necessary.
• Engage in project scoping activities including developing or validating level of effort (LOE) estimates and statements of work (SOWs).
• Prepare internal and customer-facing status reports and financial updates.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent documented professional experience in a similar project management role.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or an equivalent certification.
• At least five years of project management experience overseeing large software implementation projects.
• Previous involvement in managing complex technical projects, preferably within Public Safety sectors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Self-driven, detail-focused, organized, and highly motivated.
• Passion and professionalism in all aspects of project management practices.
