Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the Warmer Homes Scheme (SEAI), ensuring that all retrofit projects meet high standards of quality, safety, and compliance, while satisfying homeowners and stakeholders. This hands-on leadership position involves managing the entire project lifecycle nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and strengthen project management systems to increase practicality and robustness.
- Clearly establish project scopes and allocate the correct resources.
- Serve as the communication bridge between management, contractors, SEAI representatives, surveyors, and inspectors to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Supervise and assist contractors during installation of home upgrade measures, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Escalate major issues to senior management promptly and collaborate on solutions.
- Implement continuous improvement techniques to enhance productivity and quality.
- Foster a constructive work environment aligned with the company vision and growth plans.
- Act as the primary contact for homeowners, managing their expectations and delivering a positive experience throughout the project.
- Conduct pre- and post-project site quality inspections, ensuring adherence to SEAI QADP standards, building codes, and corporate criteria before formal project closure.
- Maintain detailed documentation and generate timely progress reports for multiple projects.
- Identify defects, nonconformities, and deviations uncovered during quality assurance inspections and ensure corrective action.
- Lead root cause analyses and promote proactive risk management.
- Run project briefing and debriefing sessions, leveraging lessons learned for continuous enhancement.
- Build a strong customer satisfaction culture by ensuring work meets or exceeds expectations and that properties are returned in excellent condition.
- Prepare comprehensive homeowner information packets.
- Analyze operational costs and champion cost optimization strategies.
- Train and support teams in safety and quality protocols and best practices.
Requirements
- Third-level degree in Construction or Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification with at least 5 years in a similar capacity.
- Project Management certification and/or credentials such as BER Assessor qualification or DEAP proficiency is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years' proven experience as a Project Manager or equivalent role within the domestic retrofit industry.
- Strong understanding of SEAI schemes, construction practices, building regulations, and retrofit materials.
- Demonstrated techno-commercial acumen in managing commercial aspects of retrofit projects and contractor/customer relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving capability, and communication proficiency.
- Competence with digital tools and software for inspections, planning, and reporting.
- Possession of a clean full driving license.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary at €65,000 or higher based on qualifications and experience.
