Project Coordinator

Opportunity

This contract role is for a highly organised Project Coordinator who will help drive the delivery of cloud transformation, migration, and modernisation programmes in enterprise settings. You will work alongside project managers, technical specialists, and business stakeholders to keep workstreams aligned with governance, process, budgets, and timelines.

The assignment is fully remote within the UK and sits inside IR35. It starts as an initial 3 to 6 month contract, with the possibility of being extended. The day rate is competitive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support for cloud transformation and migration initiatives.
• Keep project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies up to date, while monitoring and communicating progress.
• Handle governance outputs such as steering committee packs, status updates, RAID logs, and related project records.
• Set up and run project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain project documentation so it remains controlled, current, and stored according to agreed standards and procedures.
• Monitor tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Assist with project finance administration, including purchase orders, budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
• Coordinate activities across technical and business teams to help delivery milestones stay on track.
• Prepare recurring project reports and management information for internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Support the handover of project outputs into operational support and service teams.

Required Experience

• Background as a Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, or Project Support professional in IT, technology, or professional services.
• Solid understanding of project governance, reporting, and the project lifecycle.
• Proven ability to stay organised while managing several workstreams and competing priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence managing stakeholders.
• Experience creating project reports, meeting notes, action trackers, RAID logs, and project documentation.
• Exposure to project budgeting, financial tracking, and administrative support tasks.
• Comfort using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• High attention to detail and a methodical way of working.

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud migration, transformation, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience on cloud, managed services, or digital transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Experience supporting PMO functions or enterprise-scale technology programmes.
• Qualifications such as PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM Foundation, or an equivalent certification are beneficial.
