About the Role
Join Miele Professional as a Field Service Technician where you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a wide variety of commercial appliances in diverse environments such as industrial laundries, laboratories, hospitals, and medical facilities. Your daily tasks will include working on industrial washing machines, tumble dryers, and specialized laboratory washer disinfectors. Predominantly covering the Falkirk area, this role requires representing a globally recognized premium brand by offering outstanding customer service combined with thorough technical expertise. Occasional travel beyond the local region, overnight stays, and after-hours work may be necessary, requiring flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to perform fault diagnostics, service, maintenance, and repairs on professional laundry and washer disinfector appliances ensuring high technical standards.
- Install and decommission professional appliances in commercial and medical settings adhering to health, safety, and Gas Safe regulations.
- Deliver excellent customer service continuously reflecting the professionalism of the Miele brand.
- Communicate effectively with planners, managers, and service partners to ensure efficient service execution and timely resolution of technical challenges.
- Maintain precise vehicle stock, manage spare parts usage, and complete daily administration to optimize first-time fix rates and operational workflows.
- Promote Miele care products, accessories, service contracts, and maintenance solutions through customer engagement and product knowledge.
- Engage in ongoing technical training and development activities to stay current on Miele products, systems, and diagnostics, while working towards set performance and key performance indicators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic ability and expertise in fault-finding across professional electrical and gas appliances utilizing appropriate test equipment.
- Proven track record in field service or technical customer service, delivering high-quality customer support.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK power supplies, wiring, and appliance systems enabling effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and capability to manage tasks independently while fostering positive customer relationships.
- Enthusiastic and proactive learner dedicated to continuous development with up-to-date product knowledge and technical skills maintenance.
