Role Overview

Located in Hyderabad, India, the Product Analyst will support analytics and player insights specifically for The Sims franchise. This position involves close collaboration with product managers, designers, engineers, and fellow analysts to guide product decisions through data-driven insights. Key responsibilities include analyzing player behavior, assessing game health, evaluating live service performance, and building scalable analytical tools to enhance player experience and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze key game health indicators to improve player satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries and scripting workflows for extracting, transforming, validating, and analyzing large telemetry datasets.
• Create dashboards, reports, and self-service analytical tools for operational monitoring and trend identification of player and system behavior.
• Investigate player behavior and gameplay systems to pinpoint opportunities to boost engagement and gameplay quality.
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B testing to assess gameplay features and enhancements using rigorous statistical methods.
• Conduct statistical analysis and modeling to discover actionable insights supporting live operations and product strategies.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define telemetry instrumentation, KPIs, success metrics, and analytical frameworks for gameplay and live operations initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity by validating datasets, measurement approaches, and reporting outputs for accuracy and consistency.
• Identify automation opportunities for routine analyses, reporting workflows, and operational monitoring to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Translate unclear business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations with measurable results.
• Clearly and effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work alongside Product, Design, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to guarantee reliable analytics pipelines and scalable reporting solutions.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of The Sims ecosystem, including player motivations, live-service operations, and business objectives.
• Stay informed on industry analytics trends, player behavior patterns, and best practices for live services.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 4 years of experience in analytics or product analytics roles conducting quantitative analysis to support business or product decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL with experience handling large, complex, and heterogeneous data sources.
• Experience with data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling methods.
• Knowledge of designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests, including significance testing.
• Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Competence in programmatic analytics using Python or R for data extraction, transformation, and analysis scripting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and promote data-driven decision-making across departments.
• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for gaming, especially mobile and The Sims franchise.
• Experience with live-service gaming, telemetry systems, or player behavior analytics.
• Knowledge of large-scale data platforms and operational analytics environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics workflows or emerging AI technologies that enhance analysis efficiency and insight generation.
