Procurement Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Procurement Analyst to become part of our procurement team in Germany. This full-time position involves supporting purchasing and sourcing operations by conducting detailed procurement data analysis, evaluating supplier performance, tracking expenditures, and uncovering opportunities to reduce costs. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and suppliers to maintain efficient procurement processes while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze procurement and buying data to spot patterns, assess risks, and find cost reduction prospects.
• Assist with sourcing efforts, supplier selection, and contract management responsibilities.
• Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and service quality.
• Generate procurement reports, dashboards, and expenditure analyses for leadership review.
• Participate in negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Verify that purchase orders and procurement-related documents meet company policy standards and are accurate.
• Work in partnership with the finance, logistics, and operations teams to facilitate procurement activities.
• Perform market research to discover new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.
• Support efforts related to inventory planning and demand forecasting as needed.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, Economics, or a comparable discipline—or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or business analysis roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a positive addition.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is helpful.
• Excellent organizational aptitude and effective time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication as well as negotiation skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of German is beneficial but not required.
