Performance Tester

Role Summary

As a Performance Tester, you will design, document, and carry out test scenarios to assess the performance aspects of systems including load capacity, stress thresholds, scalability, and reliability levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed test cases focusing on evaluating system performance metrics.
• Implement non-functional testing procedures utilizing both manual techniques and automated tools to verify adherence to performance standards.
• Analyze testing outcomes and compile detailed reports highlighting system stability, performance efficiency, and potential improvement areas.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
• Practical experience performing non-functional testing for REST APIs, IBM MQ messaging, and Graphical User Interfaces, covering aspects like load handling and resiliency.
• Competency in scripting with Bash, Perl, or Python to aid in automation and metric gathering during testing.
• Extensive familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to enable successful teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical thinking paired with effective problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial market instruments such as Indices, Equities, Commodities, Forex, and Fixed Income products will be beneficial.
