Job description
Overview
Our client, an Accountancy firm based in Kerry, Ireland, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee the execution of precise, compliant, and timely payroll operations, while supporting clients and enhancing payroll processes. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a hybrid working arrangement—three days on-site in the office and two days working remotely each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing payroll procedures ensuring compliance with Irish payroll laws and Revenue regulations.
- Calculating payroll accurately, including statutory charges, pensions, and deductions.
- Offering payroll guidance on areas such as PAYE, PRSI, USC, Benefits in Kind (BIK), Employment Regulations Reporting (ERR), redundancy, and statutory leave.
- Maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and promptly addressing their payroll inquiries.
- Leading and mentoring the payroll team, keeping track of deadlines and quality standards.
- Driving improvements in payroll processes, controls, and cloud-based payroll systems.
- Assisting with the effective onboarding of new payroll clients and overseeing payroll profitability metrics.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive Irish payroll expertise, preferably gained at an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
- Comprehensive understanding of Irish payroll regulations and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- IPASS qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Annual salary between [45,000-55,000] Euros
