Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete payroll processing activities internally following predefined controls and timelines.
• Verify, validate, and reconcile payroll data inputs and outcomes to guarantee accuracy and comprehensiveness.
• Utilize knowledge of German payroll tax legislation and employment laws to support compliant payroll execution and informed decision-making.
• Investigate discrepancies and respond to employee queries promptly with clear, customer-oriented explanations.
• Develop reports and conduct analyses in Excel, communicating actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with payroll accounting functions including reconciliations and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to address operational challenges and enhance service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvements in payroll processes, documentation, controls, and automation techniques.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in executing end-to-end payroll processing within SAP environments, including an understanding of payroll tax rules and accounting.
• Experience handling payroll for Germany in a multi-country organizational context.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel to analyze large data sets, reconcile different information points, and clearly present results.
• Fluency in German and English and the ability to communicate complex payroll-related information effectively to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage individual and team responsibilities efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Ability to build effective partnerships with colleagues and external vendors to foster collaboration.
• Adaptability to evolving procedures, processes, and system changes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with comprehensive German payroll procedures, including statutory reporting in SAP.
