Job Overview
As an integral part of a highly motivated and organised Payments team, the Payroll Coordinator will handle comprehensive payroll duties to ensure employees and subcontractors receive timely and accurate compensation. This role reports directly to the Payroll Manager and involves cultivating effective business relationships while consistently delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer payments for employees and subcontractors accurately and on schedule according to agreed payment dates and methods.
- Manage statutory payments and oversee pension auto-enrolment.
- Calculate and process payments to statutory agencies and third-party providers with precision and timeliness.
- Address payroll, administration, or tax inquiries confidently with employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure punctual and accurate HMRC reporting, including FPS and EPS submissions.
- Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and finance-related payroll activities.
- Provide regular updates to the organisation regarding employee and subcontractor payment matters.
- Perform various administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in a payroll position is mandatory.
- Ability to effectively organise and prioritise daily tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Close attention to detail when handling data entry, report generation, and calculations.
- Excellent numerical aptitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to perform well under pressure.
