About the Company
A respected and established firm is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its finance team. Role Overview
As the Payroll Administrator, you will manage end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, monthly, and quarterly payment cycles, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all payroll transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll payments, statutory deductions, and third-party remittances.
- Support compliance with PAYE regulations including RTI submissions and year-end procedures.
- Address payroll and pension queries, delivering excellent customer service.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other teams to maintain payroll accuracy.
- Assist with payroll-related projects, system upgrades, and implementations.
- Maintain payroll controls, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance.
- Investigate payroll issues and escalate technical problems when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost payroll efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Comprehensive payroll experience covering all aspects of payroll processing.
- In-depth understanding of current UK payroll legislation and HMRC standards.
- Strong aptitude for customer service and stakeholder relationship management.
- Proven ability to handle complex payroll inquiries accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUP, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience identifying and leading process enhancements.
