Organisation Overview
The employer is a non-governmental organisation located in Dublin 7, Ireland, seeking a part-time Training and Support Officer. This role is predominantly remote but requires attendance at the office twice monthly. The position involves traveling across various locations in Ireland, making possession of a full, clean driver’s license and a personal vehicle essential.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare materials for training and support aimed at officers and volunteers.
- Organise and manage the delivery of training sessions.
- Coordinate with external training providers when necessary.
- Promote training initiatives and recruit participants effectively.
- Gather feedback to evaluate and enhance training programmes.
- Collaborate with Regional and Area Officers providing ongoing support in their duties.
- Compile and present reports regarding training sessions for the CEO and officers.
- Review, update guidance documents and create new resources beneficial to officers.
- Identify and nurture individuals with potential within the organisation.
- Deliver presentations at national and regional events.
- Oversee the training and support budget, reporting financial data and expenditure to the Finance leadership and CEO.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of three years experience in a similar capacity within a non-profit environment; this experience can be paid or voluntary.
- Proven experience in supporting and developing volunteers or members.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent English writing ability.
- Highly organised with effective time management and multitasking capabilities.
- Possession of a full, clean driver's license and access to a vehicle to enable extensive travel throughout Ireland.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams.
- Resident of Ireland with full work permit eligibility.
- Preferred but not mandatory skills: experience within membership organisations, volunteering background, advanced writing and literacy competencies, and familiarity with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.

- Competitive salary paid on a pro-rata basis.
- Part-time schedule of 17.5 hours per week, predominantly remote work.
