About the Role
At Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL), you have the chance to contribute to managing one of North America's most dynamic and diverse venues. This role influences the experiences of countless visitors by ensuring effective staffing coordination and exceptional event support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive scheduling duties, including preparing, updating, and distributing accurate staff work schedules.
- Maintain precise scheduling records such as monthly availability updates, seniority list ledgers, and logging communication details.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (RWDSU), Saskatchewan Employment legislation, and internal corporate scheduling procedures.
- Support operational requirements by filling shifts, especially addressing last-minute changes due to staffing fluctuations.
- Maintain confidential and organized personnel contact records.
- Process and update scheduling changes per managers' directions and enter daily scheduling data into computerized systems.
- Provide assistance and backup coverage for other scheduling personnel when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with department managers or representatives to evaluate scheduling progress and implement modifications.
- Facilitate cross-departmental support through cross-training initiatives to meet staffing needs across the venue.
- Deliver historical scheduling data and report generation support upon request.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Work Schedule
Shifts occur Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional hours on event days as required.
Compensation
The hourly wage range for this role is between 16 to 24 Canadian dollars.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 education is mandatory.
- Possession of an office education diploma or certificate is advantageous.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding office environment with multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Proficiency in handling high-volume telephone interactions and communicating through diverse styles.
- Familiarity with scheduling processes and adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
- Minimum one year of working experience using Excel-based platforms.
